SnapDragon Vegan Apple Tart
Ingredients
- Puff Pastry sheet (we used vegan) - 1 sheet
- SnapDragon apples (thinly sliced) - 3-4
- Juice of 1/2 Lemon -
- Sugar - 1/4 cup
- Vegan Butter (melted, divided) - 2 tbsp
- Cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- Nutmeg - a pinch
- Almonds (ground) - 2 tbsp
- Apricot preserves (warmed) - 2 tbsp
Instructions
- Slice the apples thinly, then toss with lemon juice, sugar, 1 tbsp melted butter, cinnamon and nutmeg until well coated.
- Carefully score the puff pastry about ½” around the border, but don’t cut all the way through.
- Sprinkle the almonds on pastry, avoiding the edges.
- Arrange the apples, then bake at 375˚F for 35 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and brush with apricot preserves and dust with powdered sugar.
- Cool and enjoy!
