SnapDragon Classic Apple Pie

Ingredients

  • Pie Crust (make your own or pre-made is great!) -
  • SnapDragon apples (thinly sliced) - 6-7
  • Sugar - 1/3 cup
  • Brown Sugar (packed) - 1/3 cup
  • Flour - 1/4 cup
  • Ground Cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • Ground Ginger - 1/2 tsp
  • Ground Nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
  • Lemon Juice - 1 tbsp
  • Egg White (optional for egg wash) - 1

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375.
  2. Combine ingredients into your pie crust.
  3. Top with a second crust and cover edges with foil.
  4. Bake for 25 minutes with foil around the edges. Then remove and bake for an additional 20 minutes -until bubbly and golden brown.
  5. Cool on rack and serve with vanilla ice cream!
